'Crust & Ember Pizzeria' began with a simple dream: to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to London. Founded by the Thompson family in 1985, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run spot with recipes handed down through generations.

'Ava Thompson', our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making during her travels across Italy, studying under master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. Upon returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of true Italian pizza, using traditional methods and the finest ingredients.

What started as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a beloved local institution, yet our commitment to quality and authenticity remains unwavering. We still use the same wood-fired oven techniques, prepare our dough fresh daily, and source the highest quality ingredients we can find.

Today, 'Crust & Ember Pizzeria' remains family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Thompson family now leading our passionate team. While we've embraced some modern innovations, the heart of our business stays the same: creating delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
